In a Country as large as Tanzania, we could recommend a different place for each month of the year: in November is the Ngorongoro Crater. Also, in southern Tanzania, the rains tend to arrive a little later than in other areas.

Kenya

In Kenya, the wildebeest begin their journey back to Tanzania, ready to give birth to their young around January. Short rains in Kenya and Tanzania typically ended in mid-December and the quintessential blue skies and green, grassy plains return. In Kenya safaris are particularly good while in the northern parks in Tanzania there is an extraordinary density of animals. For a Christmas to remember, you can combine inland safaris with a few days at sea: the migration of whale sharks around the Zanzibar archipelago is a marine safari that has nothing to envy to jeep safaris!

Rwanda and Uganda

Just like East Africa, these equatorial countries are experiencing a break from the rains. Landlocked, they have high temperatures and some degree of humidity, but gorilla trekking is just as good in December (if not better) than the typical dry season months.
